Bangladesh: Midwives for Parbatipur
Maternal mortality in Bangladesh remains high, mainly due to the lack of health care professionals. Therefore, the new project of Women's Hope and LAMB supports the training of midwives in Parbatipur.
Bangladesh: Ending Child Marriage
The project contributes to ending early marriages of children in Bangladesh. Girls should be able to decide themselves, when to get married and to whom. The project aims to empower girls and to mobilise families and the community to develop new norms and behavioural patterns concerning child marriages.
Bangladesh: End Fistula
Many women suffering from an obstetric fistula don't know that their injury can be healed. Through a targeted awareness-raising campaign, affected women are reached and can then be operated. After the surgery, the women are supported and accompagnied on their way of social reintegration.
